Indians reap rewards of state runner-up

DES MOINES – The Class 1A state runner-up Clarksville softball team claimed three all-state players after season’s end by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association, announced late last week.
Junior pitcher Kori Wedeking was voted first team all-state for the third straight year after another outstanding season in the circle for the Indians. Her ERA of 0.31 was third-best state-wide. She finished with a 29-2 record, her only two losses were to defending state champion Collins-Maxwell.
