MARSHALLTOWN – North Butler freshman Meg Thompson slogged through both days of the Class 1A girls’ state golf meet, seeing her first round halted by severe weather, and finishing the final day by shooting 22 holes.
Through it all, Thompson went through 36 holes with 106-101 – 207 to finishing 50th as an individual out of 76 players who completed both rounds.
“It was a great experience,” she said. “I had a lot of fun. It would be great if we could make it as a team next year. I’m going to continue to work hard to make it back to state.”
