Matt Bohner has a mission to make man’s best friend his pride and joy. He trains dogs from six months old to two years old, and offers boarding at the River Ridge Kennels in rural Clarksville.
“We have indoor and outdoor kennel runs and a huge airing yard to let them run and play,” Bohner said.  It’s bigger than some city dog parks.”
Boarded dogs are let outside several times for at least an hour a day. Bohner sometimes opens his own home to pampered smaller dogs to make them more comfortable.
“I treat everybody’s dog like they’re my own, and give them the attention they need,” Bohner said. “Boarding is extremely rewarding, giving the dogs the loving they love. It’s the same with training jobs. The dogs are starving for attention and miss their owners, so I have to give them the attention they need. It’s like a little doggy college.”
