Waverly Health Center welcomes first baby of 2017

WAVERLY — A Butler County woman delivered the first baby of 2017 to be born at Waverly Health Center.
Harper Ann Mallen was born on Sunday, Jan. 1. Her parents, John and Jami Mallen of Shell Rock, welcomed Harper into their family at 1:38 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds 8.9 ounces and measured 20½ inches in length. Harper is the Mallen’s first child.
Waverly Health Center greeted Harper with a variety of gifts including an embroidered blanket made by volunteers, a stuffed animal from the Auxiliary’s Gift Garden and a mother and baby care package from Center Pharmacy.
