IOWA FALLS – Top-ranked 152-pound North Butler senior Cody Nelson sits in the corner of his freshman brother, Dalton, during the championship match of the Iowa Falls’ Jones Brothers Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 21, shouting instructions and acting as another coach.

Cody Nelson had little to worry about as his younger brother dominated Clarksville senior Dustin Sommerfelt with a 14-4 major decision to win the title.

“When he wrestles, I get more fired up than I do of any of mine,” Cody Nelson admitted. “We’ve been wrestling together forever. My goal for him is to be way better than I ever thought of being. That’s my mentality – taking what I know and passing it along to him and making him even better.

“So, yeah, I get real fired up.”
