ROCKWELL – North Butler’s cross country teams are young, but competing.
The Bearcats boys’ team finished sixth out of eight and the girls were ninth out of 10 at the West Fork meet held Monday, Sept. 21 at Linn Grove Country Club in Rockwell.
“We’re a young team, we’re battling, trying our best,” North Butler coach Kirk Clark said. “I wish we’d get our times down under 20 (minutes, boys times), but we’re getting closer. When you don’t have the big dogs in practice, someone to chase after like the last couple of years, even practicing is a little tough to get them all going."
