Wolverines deal Bearcats big punch

GREENE – Class 1A No. 3 Dike-New Hartford (Associated Press) came to Greene intent on a great start and the Wolverines delivered, rolling out to a 35-0 lead after the first quarter on the way to a 56-0 defeat of the Bearcats on Friday, Sept. 7.
Coach Travis Miller’s team was already at a disadvantage with Bryce Trees out with an arm injury before the game even started.
And then the Bearcats lost three more throughout the course of the game with senior two-way lineman Jaden Mason leaving via ambulance late in the first half.
“Absolutely, our best tackler,” coach Miller said of Trees. “We lost an inside linebacker (Cole Negen), lost Jaden, obviously, he plays both ways for us, another one at the end, Chet (Buss) got dinged..."
