West Forty Meats opens in Greene

There’s a new storefront in Greene, with West Forty Meats opening on 109 S 2nd street (the former location of the Black Sheep Coffee Baa) on Thursday, May 24.
     John and Sue Ebensberger, owners of West Forty Enterprises, have been raising cattle since the early 1990s and selling the beef out of their home and at the Des Moines Farmers Markets.
     “We wanted to give folks an opportunity to purchase our beef here in town,” Sue Ebensberger said.
     West Forty Meats offers everything from halves and quarters to individual cuts of freshly frozen beef: hamburger, steaks, brisket, ribs—anything anyone can think of.
