Wedeking throws first perfect game of the season

CLARKSVILLE – Clarksville’s Kori Wedeking threw a perfect game for the first time this season in a 3-0 Iowa Star Conference win over Baxter on Tuesday, June 4.

 The junior who owns the best ERA in the state – one of only five pitchers with a 0.00 ERA – and the only one with more than four starts struck out 12 to earn another perfect game. The last one was June 21, 2018 in a split doubleheader against Colo-NESCO and Rockford.

Although her older sister and coach Katie Wedeking wasn’t aware of it, through deduction of the order she was facing, Kori had an idea in the seventh inning.
