Wedeking takes consolation title

DES MOINES – Honestly, Caleb Wedeking claims to not have a lick of talent.
But the North Butler senior wrestler went out with a win in the consolation championship at 160 pounds in Class 1A, finished with three top-four medals overall and more than 150 career wins.
He did so by avenging his only loss in the tournament, to Southeast Warren’s Jacob Hoch with a 2-1 decision on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
“Once I lost to him on the front side, I knew I had to come back and get third,” Wedeking said....
