Wangsness leads Bearcats to sectional title, earns overall medal

NASHUA – Easily spotted for the colorful golf pants he was sporting, North Butler’s Trevor Wangsness credits the attire, as well as his game, for shooting 40-41 - 81 to win the individual sectional golf title and led the Bearcats to the team sectional championship.
Coach Todd Thompson’s squad shot 350, battling a second nine holes under less-than-ideal conditions after a storm front that brought rain and cold through to Nashua Town & Country Club on Friday, May 13.
“I got them online,” Wangsness said. “They are actual golf pants, and they are kind of wacky so I decided to wear them. They are something, I know."
