A taco supper is planned for January 30 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Clarksville East Gym Lobby in conjunction with school basketball games. But the supper isn’t just about tacos, and it’s not just for Indians basketball fans. It’s a Community Visioning Committee project. Proceeds will go toward Community Wayfinding Signs.
The signs will help people visiting Clarksville find popular destinations such as the school, library, parks, cemetery, bike trail and ball fields—as well as any other locations of note for which signage may legally be incorporated.
“We want visitors who have never been here to easily find things that somebody would have to stop at a convenience store to ask [about],” said Jeff Kolb of the Visioning Committee.
Funding needs for the wayfinding signs are minimal, and Kolb anticipates that the project may well be completed once a couple thousand dollars raised.
