Turnovers come back to haunt Bearcats

GREENE – Nashua-Plainfield’s trapping defense flustered North Butler’s boys’ basketball team into 27 turnovers and that spelled disaster for the Bearcats in an eventual 65-45 loss to the Huskies on Saturday, Jan. 26.
A total of 14 of those turnovers came after halftime and many led directly to points for N-P as coach Dave Brown’s team dropped to 3-10 overall, 2-10 in the Top of Iowa East Conference.
“Turnovers have been our Achilles’ Heel all year,” Brown said. “You look at our QuikStats and it is turnovers. It’s killing us..."
