Third Graders at Little Yellow School House

The three third-grade classes at North Butler visited the Little Yellow School House, Pittsford #3 for a taste of old-fashioned schooling on May 16 and 19.
Children wore name tags with the names of students who once attended the school. The girls wore aprons and the boys wore suspenders and straw hats.
There was a spelling bee, and students worked on math, including Roman Numerals. They also read “recitations” about goldfish and work horses and worked with poetry.
