“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away,” William Shakespeare once said, and sharing the gift of music is a passion for Allison native Addyson Clark, who recently released her first album, “A Taste of Jazz.”
If “Beyond the Sea,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Song of the Wanderer,” and “He Looked Beyond My Faults,” are some of your all-time favorites, this compilation of jazz ballads is for you.
“I think it’s really nice it has faster songs and slower ones, so you get two different styles, but it’s all jazz,” said Clark’s boyfriend, Clay Schultz of Greene.
The CD features vocals by Addyson Clark with accompaniment from David Smith (piano, vibes, guitar, strings and vocals), Mary Smith (bass and banjo), and the Sugar Daddys Big Band. Recording was done locally at Smith Music Studio.
