Surge of new homes built in rural Butler

Butler County saw a big increase in rural homes being constructed in 2013.

Zoning Administrator Mitch Nordmeyer estimates around 26 dwellings were erected within Butler.

“I have been surprised by the amount of new homes as compared to other years,” he said, “and they don’t seem to be concentrated in one area. They are going up all over the county, which is nice.”
