Superintendent Randy Strabala plans to retire on January 1, 2018.  Strabala has served as a shared superintendent for Clarksville and Nashua-Plainfield for three years. Upon Strabala’s retirement, Joel Foster, superintendent at North Butler, will take on his role as a shared superintendent.
“Clarksville will share with North Butler, and purchase those services from North Butler, just like they purchased me from Nashua-Plainfield,” Strabala said. “Operational sharing is still in the best interest of both districts. We recently explored our options, and they were eager to join in operational sharing.”
As for the mid-school year retirement, Strabala anticipates the transition will work more smoothly with Foster able to ease into the district and work with the staff, rather than start with big decisions at the beginning of a school year.
Strabala looks forward to spending time with his grandkid, traveling, and having a fun retirement.
