Superintendent search to focus on sharing with area schools

Dr. Dean Meier, AEA 267 chief administrator, [pictured] introduced himself to the Clarksville Community School Board of Education last Thursday during a work session. The former Wartburg professor will be paid $1,500 to lead search for a sharing superintendent and full-time elementary principal.

Meier and the board decided to look for a superintendent before an elementary principal due to timing. Nearby superintendents were considered, including Tripoli’s Troy Heller, Nashua-Plainfield’s Randy Strabala and North Butler’s Joel Foster. They seemed to be the top candidates thus far.
