Students become teachers on Tech Day

Clarksville Elementary fifth and sixth grade students spent a month researching presentations on various Google web applications for Technology Day on April 2.
Tech Day was made possible by a grant the fifth and sixth grades received, known as HyperStream, through Iowa STEM Advisory Council (science, technology , engineering and math).
“There are five different parts you can choose to do competitively,” said Mrs. Jill Norton, who led the students in offering Tech Day. “We chose to do the Community Service Project… The challenge they gave to us was: How can we reach our community with the use of technology? The group of 21 students decided we should host a day when we could teach different parts on technology that they use in school and could be very useful to others as well.
