A splash pad is on the horizon for Clarksville.
A splash pad is a recreation area, often in a public park, for water play that has little or no standing water. This is said to eliminate the need for lifeguards or other supervision, as there is little risk of drowning, according to Wikipedia.
Clarksville City Council voted unanimously on Monday, Aug. 17 to form and endorse a committee to research a splash pad proposed at Volunteer Park.
Please refer to the Aug. 20 Clarksville Star for details of the initial proposal and ways to give feedback.
