“Variety is the spice of life,” is Nathan Eastman’s mantra. And both his art and his life are filled with variety. Eastman’s art will be featured at the Shell Rock Library art show on February 13, along with the works of several other local artists.
His subjects include wildlife, people, scenery, flowers, sunsets, cars and buildings—and range from realistic to abstract.
“I paint anything, anywhere, all kinds of ideas—just whatever I imagine and think I can really make look good on a piece of paper,” said Eastman.
Both of his parents were gifted with artistic talent, and Eastman started drawing before he even started school. In school, he had the same art teacher as his parents did years before.
