Soil workshop to be held at Allison library

Franklin and Butler County Soil and Water Conservation districts are hosting soil health workshops Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Allison Public Library.

The workshop will also occur again at Maynes Grove Lodge in Hampton from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

By definition, soil health is the capacity of a soil to function in sustaining bountiful crops, regulating water movement and cycling nutrients that enables profitable production while protecting natural resources on and off the farm.
