Slight injury hampers Arjes in final run

Des Moines — A hamstring injury kept North Butler senior Morgan Arjes from running what she wanted to in her final state track & field meet.
 
The Wartburg commit stretched her quad while running the state qualifying meet the week before and she finished 14th overall in the Class 1A 400-meter dash on Thursday, May 17.
 
She ran to a time of 1 minute, 2.13 seconds, which was the fourth fastest time in the second of three heats.
 
“It was exciting and fun,” Arjes said. “I just wish I could have done a little bit better..."
