Skating rink considered for Clarksville

Is Clarksville ready for a skating rink? That’s the question Maintenance Assistant Ryan McCully posed at the council meeting January 2.
     Council members were enthusiastic about the idea. Of late, the city has been brainstorming ways to grow, keep young people in town and draw more younger families.
     “Things like this is what Clarksville needs,” Councilman Todd Fails said.
     Another councilman, Jeff Kolb, said he loved the idea. Kolb proposed planning the project for next year, and making sure it is done right to make sure all safety and liability issues are addressed.
