Shell Rock Swing Show draws crowds: Roughly 2000 tickets sold

The final count from the ticket committee isn’t in yet, but estimates are over 2000 tickets were sold in total for this year’s seven performances of the Shell Rock Swing Show.
     “It’s a good show with a lot of music people recognize,” said Producer and Shell Rock Mayor Larry Young.
     Selections included songs from “Walkin’ on Sunshine” to “In Another’s Eyes.” As usual, listeners enjoyed hearty laughs courtesy of the Smothered Brothers.
     Another highlight for many was the return of Gitarzan. Jim Gates first swung on stage as Tarzan in 1984, returned in 1995 and 2010, and was back this year.
