Safety, learning take stage

ALLISON — What do grain bins, chemicals, ATVs, guns and bodies of water have in common?
  They're all potentially dangerous. When area fourth-graders descended on the Butler County Fairgrounds Thursday, May 7 for Farm Safety Day, these were some of the things around which they learned to stay safe.
  GRAIN DRAIN: Unseen air pockets under the top layer of grain in a bin can pop like a balloon, trapping the farmer underneath, a demo from Aplington-Parkersburg FFA students showed Clarksville Elementary students.
