Riceville full-court press helps Wildcats rally by Indians

CLARKSVILLE – Three close games in a row has the Clarksville boys’ basketball team eager for more.
With that, head coach Ross Timmermans hopes it will lead to more wins after the Tuesday, Jan. 12 game against Iowa Star Conference foe Riceville turned up the pressure late to rally by his Indians, 43-36.
“I think it’s the opposite of fatigue,” Timmermans said. “I think we are energized. Looking back at the past seasons of Clarksville basketball, you don’t get a win in overtime coming back from 13 down; and then you don’t follow that up the next day by playing three awesome quarters, so-so fourth quarter and than overtime game where you lose by three with a shot to tie it up to go to double overtime..."
