Residents encouraged to check water temps

Repeating what officials from many towns across northern Iowa are saying, residents are also encouraged to check the temperature of your water.

Due to extreme cold temperatures this winter and deep frost going into the ground, towns are experiencing frozen service lines from the water main to the building for the first time in recent memory.

As a precaution, residents are encouraged to measure the temperature of water coming into the building from a cold faucet inside the home or business.
