Exactly 66 people attended a three-person best-shot golf tournament held at the C.A.R.D. Inc. course on Friday, Aug. 7, called Clarksville Fun'd Day, formerly the Leland "Red" Metz Fun'd Day.
Once, the tournament was named for a former C.A.R.D. Board member and Janice's husband of 51 years, Leland "Red" Metz, Board Vice-President Gerald Becker said.
The tournament began a dozen years ago to fund carpet at the C.A.R.D. clubhouse. It has raised funds for such causes as fighting cancer through the ACS Relay for Life and fighting muscular dystrophy.
