Rebuilt bandstand dedicated

CLARKSVILLE — About 50 people gathered in Reading Park for the dedication of the new bandstand on Saturday, June 13, 2015 — 45 years after the demolition of the former Clarksville Bandstand a block away.
  That's according to Lola Clark, who shared research on the previous bandstand.
  “It was very well known that people brought their cars uptown on Wednesday afternoon and parked them so they were directly looking at the bandstand,” Clark said. "That way you have a perfect view and you can sit there and honk your horn and enjoy the music."
