Mollie B and the Jim Busta Band made their sixth appearance in Clarksville with a free concert at Reading Park on July 14. Despite the hot and humid weather, several hundred Clarksville residents gathered to hear the band's lively and entertaining performance.
Mollie B is best known as the host of RFD's Mollie B Polka Party TV show. She performs most often with the band SqueezeBox, but regularly tours with her father and brother as part of the Jim Busta Band.
The evening kicked off with some of the Jim Busta Band's most popular tunes, including "I Wonder Why" and "I've Got a Polish Boyfriend." Hits from Mollie B's band SqueezeBox, including "The Waltz of the Angels" and "My Heart Skips a Beat," were also featured.
Audience members were invited to submit requests throughout the two-hour concert. Some of requests included classic polka hits such as "The Country Girl Polka" and "Blue Skirt Waltz."
