Planting corn, faith and hope in Haiti

“What I spent, I had; what I saved, I lost; what I gave, I have,” a wise man once said.
     True joy is found in helping others.  That's a lesson Jason Edeker of Allison and Bill Janssen, a farmer from Wellsburg, have learned well.
     Edeker and Janssen travelled to Les Cayes, Haiti to work with the GoServ Global ministry from January 16 to January 25 as part of a team of 14. For Edeker, this was his fifth trip, for Janssen, his ninth.
     The team worked to build a Sukup Safe T Home, a modified grain bin that serves as a family home.  The home was the 301st Safe T Home built on the island.
