Pat Grassley visits Shell Rock: Growth in rural communities discussed

State Representative Pat Grassley held a listening post at the Shell Rock Library on February 9.
     Grassley discussed growth in rural areas and funding difficulties.
     “Being chair of the appropriations committee, I’ve really realized in the last three years that the way that we address things like school funding, for example, there’s never enough money to do everything needed at the state [level], just like the cities, local governments, county governments and school districts, said Grassley. “We have to have growth in these rural areas.”
     One thing Grassley would like to see is more investments in rural Iowa.
