Parkersburg group plans for 'All-Play Ballpark'

  When Matt Waller was younger, growing up in the Cedar Valley, a car accident left his older brother, Brad, using a wheelchair.
  It became evident to him how few opportunities there were for people with disabilities to participate in events around them, particularly sporting events.
  "I know parents who will drive 150 miles for a child to play ball on a Saturday," Waller said. "It's true for most parents. They just want to give their child a chance to play."
  So Waller assembled a board where he lives, in Parkersburg. With initial rebuilding done after the Parkersburg tornado and flood of 2008, the plans are taking shape for a new, 15-acre complex at the corner of Conn Street and Commerce Avenue.
