North Butler welcomes Megan Neuendorf

Megan Neuendorf is the new 8th grade science, 7th grade math, Algebra 1 and Computer Science Principles teacher at North Butler, but she’s a familiar figure at the high school after serving as junior varsity softball coach for the past three years.
     The best part of working at North Butler so far for Neuendorf has been the people.
     “Both the staff and the students have been awesome…” Neuendorf said. Though there’s a few I didn’t know, for the most part I knew everybody. It’s just kind of like having a little family always here, and the kids are awesome. They’re fun and welcoming.”
     Although her mother was a teacher, Neuendorf never considered teaching as a profession she would pursue. After graduating from Waverly-Shell Rock, she majored in architecture at Iowa State for one semester. But she soon realized architecture was not the field for her.
