North Butler takes fifth at West Fork

ROCKWELL – When the day started, it appeared to be a scorcher for the West Fork cross country invitational at Rockwell’s Linn Grove Golf Course.
However, a little more than an hour before race time, a cold front, bringing just a slight amount of rain cooled things off tremendously to the benefit of everyone involved.
North Butler’s boys’ team used a tight pack, with all of its scoring runners finishing within a minute and a half of each other to score fifth place out of eight complete teams on Monday, Sept. 17.
“Especially back (in the woods of the course) I felt a nice breeze during the laps and it made it easy to get comfortable when you’re running,” said Bearcat junior Eric Brehmer...
