GREENE – The North Butler football team scored on an 80-yard touchdown run by Pacen Hendricks on the first play from scrimmage during its homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 28.
Little did the Bearcats know that was the only time they’d reach the end zone in an eventual 37-7 loss to Lake Mills, falling to 1-5 overall, 0-2 Class 1A District 3.
The Bulldogs clamped down defensively after that initial score and kept coach Travis Miller’s team to 175 total yards (rushing and passing), including the 80-yard touchdown run by Hendricks.
