Butler County Farm Bureau Ag In The Classroom Coordinator Ruth Seehusen visited the North Butler kindergarten classes in December to talk to them about Christmas tree farming. She read the book “Christmas Tree Farms” that explains how a family works all year long, planting, pruning, measuring, and tagging trees before the Christmas tree sales start after Thanksgiving. The book shows the entire process from seedling to a decorated tree. After, the students made their own Christmas trees from green construction paper decorated with paper ornaments and a star on top.
