North Butler goes out on a high note; finishes seventh

FORT DODGE – Four North Butler seniors walked away winners with an 11-0 win in the Class 2A seventh place game on Wednesday, July 23 in the state softball tournament.

It all started off with a home run blast by senior Lisa Feldman and didn’t stop until the Bearcats put the finishing touches on Corn Bowl Conference opponent St. Ansgar at the Harlan and Hazel Rogers Complex in Fort Dodge.

Feldman, who hadn’t hit a home run this year, nearly hit for the cycle as a determined North Butler team rebounded nicely from a 15-1 loss in the consolation semifinal to Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto earlier Wednesday.
