North Butler coach faces former team

ALLISON – Whatever you call it: weird or difficult, the match-up was inevitable.

When North Butler coach Jeff Stirling met across the diamond from Clarksville for a non-conference softball game on Tuesday, June 17, he had mixed feelings.

While he wanted to get back to his where he lives: which is in Greene, he also wanted to see success for his nieces, who play for the Indians, where he is from.

After all was said and done, the Bearcats emerged with a hard-fought 7-2 victory over their Butler County visitors.

“I have a daughter that is coming up, going to play for North Butler, so they had an opening and decided to make the switch and come to North Butler,” Stirling said....
