North Butler celebrates Veterans Day

Area veterans were honored for their service at the 2017 Veterans Day Program presented by the North Butler Junior and Senior class on Friday, November 9.
     Starting with the posting of the colors by American Legion Post 268, the program featured musical performances by the the North Butler High School and Junior High School Bands and the North Butler High School Choir.
     North Butler students honored their guests with Reader's Theatre recitals. Colton Foster and Madi Pleas read "Veterans Day" and a section of "I am an American" was recited by Chase Eiklenborg, Sarah Goodrich, Lauren Hawker, Alexis Stirling, and Abbie Wix. Introducing the veterans for recognition was Gale Brinkman and concluding remarks were made by Nicole Heeren.
     "There is not enough appreciation in the world to express the sacrifices you have made and are still making," said Heeren.
