North Butler celebrates drives

North Butler Elementary celebrated the conclusion of the food drive and Landry’s Toy Drive on December 21.
     After selections from the fifth and sixth grade band, Principal Laura Tracy introduced Landry Hull and his mom Wendy Schmitt, who thanked everyone for their support for the toy drive. They plan to hold another toy drive next year for the Ronald McDonald House. Kids also watched footage from KWWL about the drive.
     North Butler staff performed a skit for all the students, costumed as items from green beans to Legos and Barbie to represent things the kids had given.
     “You’re making someone’s Christmas so much merrier,” said Mrs. Shima, holding a giant toothbrush.
