North Butler boys second at ‘friendly’ West Fork meet

ROCKWELL – Even though they may be competing against each other, North Butler senior cross country runner Caleb Wedeking says they are all friends in the end.

In the ‘friendly’ rivalry, the Bearcat boys team finished second behind the host school, which is ranked No. 1 in Class 1A.

Wedeking was the first North Butler boys’ runner across the line in 16 minutes, 27 seconds, good for sixth overall at Linn Grove Country Club in Rockwell.

“I mean, the Corn Bowl is good competition,” Wedeking said....
