North Butler Board of Education summary (June 10 meeting)

North Butler Sports Complex Committee has raised $262,500, with $162,500 from grants and donations. The district has pledged $100,000. Recent grants were from Black Hawk County Gaming Commission ($50,000) and Guernsey Foundation ($20,000).

The committee next will hire an engineering/architectural firm to draw up final plans for the project, with hopes of beginning construction this summer of concession/restroom renovations, bleacher work, equipment shed and possibly handicapped accessible sidewalks.
