CLARKSVILLE — Much like the start to the season, Clarksville put up impressive numbers after a slow start against Rockford in the Class 1A Region 2 quarterfinal.
The Class 1A sixth-ranked Indians took off after the first quarter against the Lady Warriors and survived their physicality and ability to get their hands in the passing lanes to score a 69-33 win on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
The game, postponed a day for weather, didn’t affect the Indians much as they settled into a rhythm and put this game away in the second quarter.
Coach Ross Timmermans said that the game went much like it did when the two teams opened the season on Nov. 20.
The full story appears in the Feb. 21 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
