No. 11 North Butler makes one more step toward state

CENTRAL CITY – Marcy Jacobs is simply seeing the ball.
The North Butler sophomore centerfielder, who is hitting more than .480 this season was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including two infield singles, in the Class 1A Region 3 semifinal 5-3 win Friday night at Central City.
It helped launch the No. 11 Bearcats to Monday’s regional final against Lansing, Kee at New Albin with a ticket to state on the line.
“She’s on fire,” North Butler coach Jeff Stirling said. “She’s been doing that all year, hitting over .400. She went up to Central Springs and hit 4-for-4 off of Hannah Ausenhus..."
