CLARKSVILLE – North Butler-Clarksville head wrestling coach Gordy Smith joked that Dike-New Hartford’s coaches, Clarksville alums, knew where to go better than he did before this wrestling quadrangular started.
But the Bearcats quickly got used to the surroundings, and a great atmosphere at that, in taking two of three duals, at Clarksville High School on Thursday, Dec. 21.
“It’s fun to have a home meet away,” Smith said. “I didn’t know where anything was. I had to ask the Dike-New Hartford coaches, Tony (Norton) is from here and Bryce Jacobs, who is helping him out, they knew more about what is going on around here and where to meet, where to go, than I did. It was fun, good environment, good crowd."
The entire story runs in the Dec. 28 print editions of both the Clarksville Star and Butler County Tribune-Journal.
