New County VA director takes the controls

A new Commission of Veterans Affairs director has taken the controls for Butler County.
Tom Heckman, an aircraft mechanic and aircraft coordinator with the 133rd Air National Guard in Minnesota with 33 years of service, completed accreditation training on May 25 to become Butler County’s director of the Commission of Veterans Affairs. Heckman started on March 28.
Previous County VA Director Steve Ulrichs retired on April 20.
