NB-C heavyweight steamrolls to district meet

CLARKSVILLE – A sectional runner-up finish for North Butler-Clarksville (192 points) was just the icing on the cake for six district qualifiers to this Saturday’s meet at Denver.
Among them has been a bit of a surprise as freshman 285-pounder Chet Buss, ranked fourth in Class 1A, improved to 42-1 with a pin against eighth-ranked Caleb Koelling of Hudson in the championship final.
The fall evoked a bit more of emotion out of Buss.
“I knew he was going to try that side roll, and I’ve been working on it all week,” Buss said. “I felt it coming and I didn’t wrestle my normal style because I knew what he was going to try to do, but yeah, I was pretty fired up..."
