CLARKSVILLE – In a back-and-forth shoot-out with Rockford, the Clarksville football team’s missed extra point attempts came back to haunt them in an eventual 42-38 loss to the Warriors in the Indians’ homecoming game.
It foiled a big night for Zach Sommerfelt, who rolled up 201 ground yards with four touchdowns and passed for 31 more as Clarksville fell to 1-4 overall, 0-2 in Class 8-Man District 3.
However, both Sommerfelt and starting quarterback Dakota Garretson were each picked off twice in the loss.
More on this story will be found in the Sept. 24 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
